FG-Floortec-History-The-Story-Behind-FG-Floortec

In the world of professional flooring, the right equipment can make all the difference. It can save you time on labor, materials and extra trips to the job site. At Reddy’s Hardwood Flooring, we understand the importance of providing hardwood flooring companies with equipment that makes the job “easier”. In our eyes, we aren’t in direct competition as we share the passion of beautiful hardwood. That’s why we’re proud to partner with KS Floortech to bring the esteemed FG Floortec Equipment to other tradesman who share our passion. FG Floortec equipment is a brand that embodies innovation, durability, and craftsmanship.

A Legacy of Resilience and Innovation

FG Floortec boasts a compelling history that’s as rich as it is inspiring. From relocating to Saxony during World War II for safety to navigating through nationalization and privatization, FG has emerged as a beacon of resilience. Since 1996, the company has solidified its reputation, focusing on producing durable and professional sanders, initially catering to the Comecon markets and expanding its reach globally.

Under the visionary leadership of Friedrich Kirchner, FG has seen substantial growth and innovation. Kirchner’s strategic acquisitions and commitment to quality have positioned FG as a global leader in flooring solutions. Today, FG stands as a testament to strategic growth, with a focus on exports and an impressive sales projection, thanks to Kirchner’s emphasis on high-quality production, research, development, and a global sales network.

One of FG’s hallmarks is its innovative approach to dust containment—a critical consideration in flooring that impacts health and safety. FG’s sanding machines are a testament to technological advancement, featuring cyclonic pre-separators and heavy-duty vacuum cleaners designed for fine wood sanding. This focus on innovation extends to the design of their machines, which are celebrated for their simplicity, reliability, and ease of maintenance, directly responding to the craftsmen’s conservative and pragmatic approach to their tools.

Looking Ahead: The Future of Flooring Equipment

FG’s forward-looking approach is evident in its adoption of multidisc machines, which represent the future of flooring equipment. These machines are less aggressive, more efficient, and easier to use, especially with new diamond-based abrasives. FG’s development of the FG DUSTREK, a dust containment unit designed specifically for multidisc machines, highlights their commitment to addressing the evolving needs of the market and prioritizing health and safety.

Emphasizing simplicity, reliability, and user maintenance, FG Floortec caters to the conservative nature of craftsmen, ensuring that their products are straightforward, dependable, and self-maintainable.

Why The Dustrek?

To get back to the dust containment issue, all the FG sanding machines and edgers can be connected to a dust extraction system. FG presents here a solution composed by an efficient and sturdy cyclonic pre-separator made of sheet steel, that eliminates 95% of the dust and a heavy duty vacuum cleaner class M with an impressive suction pressure of 410 mbar and a special pocket filter. This system is specially designed for use with machines that sand very fine wood. The current problem of constipated filters is avoided by using the new pocket filter with 26 pockets.
